Guides, and what they are for

Three questions come back over and over: which months are worth four weeks, how long you are allowed to stay, and what a coliving actually is. One guide each.

What they cover

Weather, visas, and what you are actually booking.

The rain on this coast is not evenly spread: Dénia takes roughly two and a half times what Benidorm does, and most of it arrives in autumn. The visa-free window is ninety days in any rolling one hundred and eighty, and since April 2026 the border counts them for you. And a coliving is not a hostel, a flatshare or a hotel, though it borrows something from all three.

The ground reality

Written for February as well as July.

Most writing about this coast describes a summer holiday. A four-week stay is a different thing: it includes a wet Tuesday, a supermarket run uphill, and a call at five in the afternoon with the windows shut. The guides are written for that.

Start with the one everybody needs

What coliving actually is, what it sits between, and the five questions worth asking a house before committing four weeks to it.
